The problem
Registrars analyzing cancer-patient data faced excessive steps to access information, weak visual cues distinguishing AI-extracted vs. manually entered data, and no clear hierarchy across overwhelming medical documents.
Approach
Working from interviews with certified registrars and original engineers, I rethought the information architecture to cut clicks, introduced consistent color codes and annotations for different data formats, and established a clear visual hierarchy separating actionable content from the background.
Outcome
The overhauled application streamlined the registry process, increasing registrar productivity by an estimated 3–10×.
