The problem
Products displayed the same information differently, interfaces weren't suited to intensive clinical environments, and inconsistent visuals made the suite feel like separate companies. There was no centralized library of reusable components or guidelines.
Approach
I led the design team in defining a set of clinical-first design principles, a four-level emphasis system mapped to color, and global / semantic / component design tokens for scalability. I also stood up the cross-functional release process, documentation/handoff workflow, and a pre-release UX audit.
Outcome
Across 8 releases the system measurably improved development efficiency and design consistency, and gave the organization a shared, intuitive design language to build on.
